POSITION INFO:
An accounting firm in George is seeking to appoint a Junior Payroll Administrator to support its growing client base.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and is looking to develop further in payroll administration.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- A tertiary qualification in Payroll, HR, or Finance is beneficial
- Previous experience in a payroll administration role (minimum 1 year)
- Reliable transport
- Working knowledge of payroll systems
- Basic understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL, etc.)
- Proficient in MS Excel and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Capturing and processing employee information and timesheets
- Monthly payroll processing for multiple clients
- Submitting EMP201, UIF, and other statutory returns
- Issuing payslips and reconciling payroll reports
- Managing leave, overtime, and salary adjustments
- Ensuring compliance with relevant labour and tax legislation
- Handling payroll-related queries from clients and staff
- Assisting with general administrative tasks within the department
