SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Junior Planner. Main objective of the role is to effectively plan and monitor the converting and manufacturing of product sold by the Industrial division.

POSITION INFO:
Educational requirements and experience for the position:

Minimum educational level - Grade 12 with exceptional relevant work-related experience, minimum 2 years.
Preferred educational level – Production and/or Planning or equivalent tertiary qualification.
Mathematical knowledge – A minimum requirement for Raw material and Finished goods calculations.
Microsoft office suite – A minimum requirement.

Key responsibilities

Materials requirement plan (MRP) review and action
Forecast review and action
Job card issuing and review
Back-order review and action
Supply Chain Transfers review and action
Purchase requisition and purchase order processing.
Process improvement projects

Duties:

Key responsibilities as listed above.
Review RM requirements to ensure continuous supply to meet requirements.
Liaise with Sales Team, Branches, Production, Warehouse and Finance.
Coordinate movement of product from converting warehouse to FG warehouse.
Review branch requirements and action stock orders.
Review open jobs and expedite. Update Job scheduler and provide feedback to relevant departments.
BOM maintenance and where required conduct time studies to verify data.
Estimate and replacement RM and FG cost calculations.
Ensure all SHEQ requirements are met as per the company policies and procedures.
Comply with all company Policies and Procedures.
Complete all tasks as required by your departmental manager
