Junior Project Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established engineering company specialising in the water and wastewater treatment industry, is seeking a proactive and organised Junior Project Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a technically minded individual with strong administrative skills who is looking to build a career in project management. The successful candidate will assist with project coordination, tender preparation, planning, and administration while working closely with experienced project managers and technical teams. A structured template and processes are already in place to support the successful candidate.

POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the preparation and collation of tender documentation Coordinate projects from planning through to completion Prepare and maintain project schedules, reports, and documentation Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure project requirements are met Support procurement and project administration activities Monitor project progress, budgets, timelines, and quality standards Read and interpret technical drawings using AutoCAD Maintain accurate project records and documentation Work closely with the Project Manager and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery Provide general administrative support throughout the project lifecycle REQUIREMENTS : Minimum N4 qualification or a relevant technical qualification 1-2 years' experience in project coordination, planning, or project management Experience within an engineering company or technical environment is essential Strong administrative and organisational skills Experience assisting with the preparation and collation of tenders Proficient in AutoCAD and able to interpret technical drawings Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Strong communication and client liaison skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Mechanical aptitude or technical understanding will be advantageous Fluent in both English and Afrikaans (written and verbal) Valid Code B driver's licence and own reliable transport Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently under pressure *ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED*
