Our client is a well-established project management, shopfitting, maintenance and facilities solutions company servicing clients across South Africa.

Their services include:

Retail and commercial shopfitting projects
Facilities maintenance
Electrical installations and repairs
HVAC / Air-conditioning projects
Signage installations
Flooring installations
Reinstatement and refurbishment projects

The company manages multiple projects nationally and is looking for a hands-on Project Manager / Site Supervisor who can take ownership of projects from planning through to final handover.

Role Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising and delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and according to client specifications.
This role requires a strong combination of project management, site supervision, contractor coordination and client relationship management.
The position is based in Centurion but requires regular travel to project sites across South Africa.

Minimum Requirements

Matric
Valid Driver's Licence
Own Smartphone
Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience in Project Management, Site Supervision, Shopfitting, Construction, Facilities Management or a related environment
Proven experience managing contractors, suppliers and project teams
Computer literate (MS Office, Excel, Outlook)
Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Willing and able to travel extensively and sleep away from home when required

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and manage projects from initiation through to completion, including scheduling, resource allocation and project timelines
Supervise site operations, contractors and project teams to ensure work is completed according to specifications, quality standards and deadlines
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, conduct site inspections and promote safe working practices
Monitor project budgets, costs, quotations, procurement and material requirements to ensure projects remain within budget
Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, materials and equipment to ensure efficient project delivery
Liaise with clients, landlords, contractors and stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction
Conduct quality inspections, snag checks, handovers and final project close-out activities
Prepare project reports, maintain project documentation and track project progress, variations and approvals
Lead, motivate and manage site teams, ensuring performance, accountability and productivity
Ensure successful project completion, client sign-off and continuous improvement through post-project reviews

POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a practical, hands-on individual who is equally comfortable managing projects from the office and representing the company on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience within shopfitting, retail fit-outs, construction, maintenance projects, facilities management, signage, electrical installations or similar project-based environments. They will be highly organised, proactive, technically minded and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional client service.
