Junior Quality Assurance Assistant
POSITION INFO:
Job Summary:
The Junior Quality Assurance Assistant will support the QA Manager in maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves assisting with quality assurance processes, maintaining documentation, liaising with suppliers, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within themanufacturing plant.
Location: Montague Gardens, Cape Town
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in implementing quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Maintain and update quality registers, including deviations, change control, and CAPA registers.
• Liaise with raw material suppliers to ensure SAHNA certificate compliance.
• Work with production staff to address quality issues and review floor documents.
• Assist in updating the BOM Master Product list file.
• Support investigations into customer complaints and non-conformance reports.
• Organize and prepare training sessions on quality assurance standards.
• Monitor and report on key quality metrics, including QC test results and verification reports.
• Conduct Product Quality Reviews (PQR) to identify deviations and non-conformities.
• Assist in preparation for internal and external quality audits.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential Skills:
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Familiarity with drafting SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of quality standards and regulations in manufacturing (advantageous).

Education and Experience:
• Diploma or Degree in Science.
