JOB SUMMARY:
Our client within the Retail and Manufacturing sector based in Westmead Durban is seeking a Junior Sales Executive, You will be responsible to maintain and grow market share in respect of the corporate franchise, certain supermarket chains and independent client bases within designated areas.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sales & Marketing

Obtains planned rollouts for the year from clients in the designated region, and targets new franchise stores through meetings, visits and cold calling for marketing and sales purposes.
Selling of all equipment & consumables to customers as per the budget.
Actively acquiring new and opposition franchisees and growing the Market Share.
Increases sales and market share by actively canvassing and cold calling extensively by area on all potential customers as allocated on the “Account Allocation Chart”.
Replacing equipment older than 5 years.
Negotiates pricing with clients within given parameters.
Calls on between 10 – 15 customers per day
Keeps the market share reports updated.
Visits customers Monday to Thursday and meets with the Branch Manager on Fridays for Sales management meetings.

Project Management

Check that invoicing is done correctly from the sales order filled out by the Sales Executive and that the invoice, together with the Checklist is completed.
Ensures that service is provided to new clients and that installations are done effectively and in accordance with the Installations Checklist.
Checks and ensures that signed confirmation is received from the Service Manager and the customer representative that installation has been done effectively.

Customer Relations

Manages customer complaints and ensures effective resolution of issues to maintain good customer relations.
Maintains sound relations with existing clients by visiting and/or calling each at least 4 visits annually.
Ensures that clients are satisfied with the service provided, reports problems to the relevant Service Manager and escalates to the Branch Manager if needed.

Reporting and Feedback

Sets up and arranges meetings between customers and international suppliers when required.
Regularly meets with the Branch Manager to discuss his Results and Sales Metrics.
Does formal written report back to the Branch Manager by updating the minutes of every meeting at every meeting.
Reports to the Branch Manager at the end of each week on events and activities of each day of the past week, which include clients visited, the status of clients, and general comments.
At meetings also discuss general strategy to be followed in terms of new products launched and exhibitions.

Requirements

Matric.
Minimum 1-year sales experience.
