SUMMARY:
Our client a leading vineyard operation in Darling is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Viticulturist to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for vineyards, strong organisational ability, and excellent administrative skills to support day-to-day viticultural operations.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys a balance between hands-on vineyard work, data management, compliance, reporting and operational coordination.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Assist with daily vineyard monitoring and management activities Support vineyard programmes including pruning, canopy management, irrigation, fertilization, pest and disease monitoring, and harvest preparation Collect and maintain accurate vineyard records and production data Manage administration related to vineyard activities, including: Farm records Spray records Irrigation schedules Labour records Compliance documentation Quality assurance paperwork Assist with maintaining traceability and audit requirements Capture and analyse vineyard information using Excel and relevant agricultural systems Communicate with farm teams, contractors and management Assist with planning and coordinating seasonal vineyard activities Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on schedule Minimum Requirements Relevant qualification in Viticulture, Agriculture, Horticulture or related field advantageous Previous vineyard experience beneficial Strong Administration Skills Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and administration systems Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping ability Good communication skills in English (Afrikaans advantageous) Valid driver's license Ability to work independently and outdoors Skills & Attributes Passion for vineyards and agriculture Highly organised and administratively strong Practical problem-solving ability Reliable and self-motivated Strong numerical ability Willingness to learn and grow within the industry Advantageous Experience Wine industry experience Knowledge of vineyard practices and seasonal cycles Experience with quality systems, compliance documentation or farm software Ideal Candidate A young, energetic individual who wants to build a career in viticulture while bringing strong administrative discipline to a modern vineyard operation.
