JOB SUMMARY:
National Distribution company focusing on cold storage and ambient FMCG goods, seeks a Depot Manager in KZN.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Familiar with WMS systems, routing tools, vehicle tracking systems, and inventory investigations. Ensure all orders are accurately picked, checked and invoiced daily.
Actively pursue cost savings.
Number of “re-deliveries” kept to minimum/ less than previous month/ period
Conduct monthly performance appraisals
Increase picker performance

A minimum of 10 years’ experience in logistics.
Bachelor’s degree in Transport and Logistics
Be prepared to travel within South Africa to be a backup for senior staff taking leave and system implementations
Attend monthly stock takes.
Stock losses set at less than R20 000 per month

Ensure that SOPs have been drafted, authorized and complied with

Receiving procedure and process
Inventory procedure and process
Picking procedure and process
Checking procedure and process
Debrief procedure and process
Transport procedure and process
Stocktake procedures and process
