SUMMARY:
A well-known Paint Manufacturer and Distributor requires the above to increase the Company’s market share by generating new sales accounts and to ensure that existing accounts are serviced, maximised and maintained throughout.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Minimum Grade 12 and a tertiary qualification in Sales and Marketing or related field is preferred.
  • Previous sales experience having worked as a Key Account Manager or Sales Representative in the Decorative Coatings, or related industry is essential.  
  • The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Previous knowledge of technical coatings within the decorative coating industry is advantageous.
  • The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly with various levels of Customers.
  • The successful candidate must have the ability to be proactive and think “outside the box” in a fast-developing environment.
  • The successful candidate must have a high-level understanding of the building process and application of coatings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Manage and oversee Key Account growth and management, development and profitability.
  • Manage and drive the sales pipeline development with projects.
  • Prepare and achieve the sales budget by measurable action plans.
  • Place high value on customer service and sales target achievement.
  • Write specifications driving sales growth and catchment development.
  • Manage and drive customer survey and pricing reports.
  • Provide advice, training and presentations to Customers.
  • Manage and oversee the product benchmarking process, category, debtor query and financial sales management as well as margin and ASP calculation.
