Kitchen Manager

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead the culinary team at our luxury lodge in Polokwane. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven individual with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences in a refined lodge setting.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and high standards
• Lead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team, fostering a positive work environment
• Plan and design seasonal menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef
• Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards (HACCP knowledge essential)
• Monitor stock levels, manage ordering and supplier relationships
• Control food costs, waste, and portioning to meet budgetary requirements
• Train and develop kitchen staff to ensure consistency and excellence
• Work closely with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless guest service

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a luxury lodge or boutique hotel
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Financial acumen and experience with food costing and inventory
