SUMMARY:
We are recruiting for a LAN Network Administrator role.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Network Management
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, cabling).
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Manage IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and VLAN configurations.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and industry standards.
- Regularly update and patch network devices to mitigate vulnerabilities.
User Support
- Provide technical support for end-users experiencing LAN-related issues.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
- Train staff on best practices for network usage and security.
Maintenance & Monitoring
- Perform routine network health checks and capacity planning.
- Monitor bandwidth usage and optimize network performance.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures for network infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (preferred).
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, and LAN protocols.

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in configuring and managing switches, routers, and firewalls.
Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Performance Indicators

Minimal network downtime and disruptions.
Timely resolution of LAN-related incidents.
Compliance with IT security standards.
Positive feedback from end-users regarding support and reliability.
