POSITION INFO:

LOGISTICS / TRANSPORT / GENERAL MANAGER required for Operation in KOMATIPOORT.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

• Strategic growth approach, ad-hoc business, contractual business and growth through acquisition
• Identification and negotiation of contractual opportunities
• Identification and negotiation of acquisition opportunities, strategic and core focus
• Consolidation and reporting to Managing Director of all Business Development activities
• Participation in EXCO discussions/planning
• Reporting to Divisional Head Office on quarterly basis with regards to Business Development activity and market analysis
• Preparation of proposals to prospective clients
• Cost calculation for proposal purposes, distribution, line-haul and warehousing
• Project costing analysis
• Business development team training and motivation
• Marketing of company services
• Tender preparation and submission
• Presentation preparation and proposal presentations
• CAPEX documentation preparation
• Implementation assistance in newly won opportunities
• Analysis of current business units and developing opportunities outside current activities
• Route analysis
• Impact and outcome analysis in current business units
• Current model assessment and improvement opportunities
• Innovation studies and drafting of proposal within current models in use
• Market analysis – opportunity driven
• Budget preparation – department
• Optimisation and efficiency assessments
• Manage all operational and warehouse activities
• Manage line managers
• Budgets design and cost control
• Regional data analysis and decision management
• Warehouse volume control and management
• Strategic growth identification and opportunity development
• Facility design and construction project management
• Regional Key account management
• Managing of operations centre (all aspects)
• Implementation of procedures (all aspects)
• Implementation of policies.
• Implementation of disciplines.

    KEY REQUIREMENTS  :

• Degree / Diploma :   Logistics / Road Transport / Freight (Tertiary education ESSENTIAL)
• Min 5 - 10 years Logistics / Freight / Distance and Warehousing experience ESSENTIAL
• Min 5 years experience within a Senior Management Capacity
• Excellent Management skills (ability to manage several teams)
• Strong Financial Skills
• Advanced Computer Literacy
