JOB SUMMARY: Estimating Manager – Building – South Africans
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is a building construction company, offering a full range of services across all industries.
In this position you will be reporting to the commercial manager and+873 your duties will include but not limited to:
• Overall management of the estimating department• Review all price enquiries• Review the comprehensive tender bid• Plan, organize, and control construction estimating activities in a business-like manner• Prepare, coordinate, review and distribute construction estimates in accordance with Company policy and procedures• Participate in the post tender negotiation/clarification with clients• Ensure that, upon award of the project a summary of the job including cost of labour, material, quantity and quality of the materials is prepared as per the specification of the client and is timely issued to Operations• Manage & monitors construction cost data base to order and track purchased materials, labour and supplies needed for projects• Communicates with both internal departments/customers and external customers keeping them informed of events, plan changes• Ensure preparation and handover of complete tender/ job hand over package in a timely manner• Draft a final report on pre and post completion cost so as to enable the management to assess the profitability on the job
You will be responsible for 3-5 Estimators
