Job Description
Our client is looking for a Health and Safety Officer to join their team.
- To provide specialist health and safety services in the implementation of environmental management.
- Compliance and auditing as well as resolving all Occupational Health and Safety issues including building compliance of all facilities owned/managed by the company.
- Take full responsibility as delegated by the Operations Manager, for occupational health and safety issues within the organisation.
- Formulate and advise on the OHS risk management strategies and measures to mitigate risk.
- Implement effective OHS management systems and procedures.
Qualifications
- Relevant Diploma in Environmental and Safety Management or a related field.
- NQF 6
Skills
- 5 Years relevant specialist experience in an OHS or Environmental Safety role is required.
- Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven track record conducting health and safety audits and driving improvement plans in securing OHS compliance within an organization.
- SHEQ Auditor certification is advantageous.
- Best practice knowledge and expertise in the field of Health and Safety.
- Working knowledge of all relevant health and safety legislation and frameworks.
