Laboratory Manager (Chemical or Rubber Manufacturing)

SUMMARY:
LABORATORY MANAGER
HOWICK
Responsible for overseeing the operations of two on-site laboratories, focusing on the reliability of results,
monitoring of daily outputs and providing statistical feedback on the product performance.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

• DPRI or BSc in Chemistry (or equivalent qualification)
• 3–5+ years in a laboratory managerial role
• Experience in the rubber or chemical production industry
• Strong technical knowledge of laboratory systems and quality management standards
• Advanced MS Office and LIMS
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Managing daily lab operations and supervising laboratory staff
• Monitoring and analysing product and mixing data via LIMS
• Ensuring compliance with testing standards, methods, and quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
• Liaising with internal and external customers regarding product performance
• Supporting production and R&D teams with data-driven insights and troubleshooting
• Mentoring lab staff on testing procedures, data analysis, and wellness
• Overseeing laboratory budgets, audits, equipment calibration, and reporting
