Our client, operating in the Manufacturing Industry, is currently looking to employ a experienced Laboratory Supervisor based in Port Elizabeth.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or similar fields (NQF 7).
• 5 - 7 years in Laboratory operations within a Manufacturing environment (Preferable in a Chemical Industry) of which 3 - 4 years in a Supervisory/ Management Role.
• High level of accuracy.
• Communication skills (both verbal and written).

• Ontime testing, processing of data and verification of records. Easily retrieval of records as and when required.
• Accuracy of test methods followed through observational audits. Ontime reporting of test results.
• Finished product audits, including battery performance testing / requalification for compliance to specified standards or as agreed by customers.
• Representation / reporting out of data in a statistical format for ease of review and understanding.

• Identifies and reports risks or areas of concern to management within own department and area of responsibility.
• Strictly adheres to, complies with and assumes responsibility for enforcing Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental legislation, regulation toward minimizing risk, exposure, incidents or damage to the organisation and environment in any form or manner.

• Maintains effective working relationships with customers (both internal and external) towards rendering highest quality of services.
• Identifies and supports to solve problems collectively whilst demonstrating a high level of integrity.
