A great opportunity has become available with our client in the automotive sector, for a qualified and experienced Labour Relations Professional.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Steers or participates in a variety of labour relations activities and manages labour disputes, for assigned organizational area.
Interprets and administers collective agreements and individual employment contracts in accordance with relevant regulations, laws, organizational policies and standards.
Maintains ongoing communication and sound relations with labour unions and employees.
Researches and analyzes labour relations issues and recommends solutions to internal and external clients/stakeholders.
First point of contact regarding labour law and labour relations issues.
Coordinate attendance improvement programmes and initiatives.
Represent the company at Bargaining Council and Employer Association meetings.
Provide guidance to supervision on labour relations matters including disciplinary action, grievances and labour disputes.
Represent the employer at Bargaining Council and CCMA proceedings.
Coordinate recruitment process.

Requirements:

University degree / National Diploma in Human Resources Management or Labour Relations Management or equivalent
5 to 10 years experience in similar position and similar industry
Computer literacy (intermediate level) in MS Office including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
