Job Title: Laminating Machine Operator

Hourly Rate: R65 per hour (probation) | R75 per hour (post-probation)

Company Overview:
Our client, based in Alrode, is a well-established player in the plastic packaging industry. They specialise in products such as plastic liners, lid liners, bottle liners, and related materials. They are currently seeking a skilled Laminating Machine Operator to join their production team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor plastic laminating machines

• Work with materials in reel and slit form

• Ensure correct setup, calibration, and maintenance of laminating equipment

• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met

• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues during production

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Follow production schedules and report on output and performance

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating a Plastic Laminating Machine is essential

• Background in plastic packaging or similar (liners, lid liners, bottle liners)

• Familiarity with handling materials in reel and slit form

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

• Good communication and teamwork skills

Remuneration:

• R65 per hour during the probation period

• Increased to R75 per hour after successful completion of probation
