Lead Capital Strategy at a Premier Life Insurer. We're seeking a strategic Actuary to head capital and balance sheet management, shaping the financial resilience of a leading life insurer. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to influence capital strategy, regulatory positioning, and investment direction.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Solvency & Capital Management: Oversee SAM valuations, SCR, risk margin calculations, and dividend strategies.
- Investment & ALM Strategy: Drive ALM exercises, asset allocation, and monitor investment performance.
- Advanced Modelling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain actuarial models for reserving, forecasting, and planning.
- Governance & Assurance: Conduct first line actuarial assurance and lead governance forums.
- People Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Actuarial Specialists and Analysts.
Qualifications:- Qualified Actuary (FASSA or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
- Strong understanding of SAM and capital management
- Experience in iterative risk margin calculations is advantageous
- Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
