Lead Civil Engineer

SUMMARY:
Our clients are seeking an experienced, professional Lead Civil Engineer to join their team.

Purpose:

Lead the design, planning, and technical delivery of civil infrastructure upgrade, replacement, and refurbishment projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and project objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• Registered Professional Engineer (PrEng) with the relevant professional engineering body.

• Master’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
• Additional training or certifications in one or more of the following:

• Minimum: 5 years' experience in civil infrastructure design or specification.
• Preferred: 10+ years' experience leading infrastructure upgrade, replacement, or refurbishment projects within industrial or large-scale infrastructure environments.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and specification of civil engineering projects. Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation. Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards and legislation. Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Support project planning, budgeting, and execution. Conduct site inspections and provide technical input during construction. Identify and manage engineering risks and propose practical solutions. Ensure quality, safety, and environmental requirements are incorporated into project delivery.
