Our client is looking for a Lead Contracting Specialist

Requirements:

Commercial Law degree (Preferably also admitted as Attorney)
Legal, construction contracts with commercial experience necessary
8 – 10 years’ experience
Knowledge of New Engineering Contracts (NEC 3) and the execution of EPC projects
Knowledge of other contracting forms (e.g. Bespoke contracts)
Excellent communication and telephone skills in the English language as this person will be responsible for contract review and drafting
Be able to work as a team and under pressure
Be able to work with multi-functional departments/offices and people
Computer literate and proficient in MS Office
Organized and self-disciplined
Valid driver’s license with own transport (Code B / EB)

Description:

The Contracting Specialist will be involved in the drafting, evaluation, negotiation and execution of different contracts
Serve as the point of contact for contractual matters
Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors
As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to other commercial specialists and project managers
Monitor transaction compliance (milestones, deliverables, invoicing, etc.) and ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal
Oversee contractual change management on projects
Stay informed of progress on projects to pro-actively identify issues that might require commercial intervention and keep management informed of these risks
