Lead Cyber Security Specialist

SUMMARY:
One of the well-known leading scientific and technology research organization that researches, develops, localizes, and diffuses technologies to accelerate socio-economic prosperity in South Africa, is looking for a cybersecurity specialist to join their organization.

POSITION INFO:

Description:

The role requires a dynamic individual who will be responsible to conceptualize, research, design, deploy, operate, monitor and/or maintain cybersecurity solutions and systems for the protection of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) assets. 

Education:

• Minimum BSc Honours Degree

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of experience
• Linux and Windows Operating Systems including Virtual Machines.
• Data backup management, business continuity and disaster recovery; technical leadership of information and cyber security projects.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH, Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Network Security+, Firewall Related Certifications, Certified Security Analyst (CSA), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) will be advantageous.
• Advanced knowledge of computer security, web security, infrastructure security, database security, wired and wireless network security, and applications security.
• Knowledge of different cyber security frameworks such as NIST and/or ISO27001.
