Lead Data Engineer

Africa’s largest fast-moving consumer goods retailer with over 35 million customers and 2500 outlets seeks the services of Lead Data Engineer.

The role requires an individual who will lead and participate in a variety of projects and act as subject matter expert on data engineering related activities, staying up to date with the latest technology stacks, patterns, and trends.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Mathematical Sciences
• 5+ years’ experience
• Business Intelligence
• Big Data
• Hadoop
• Spark
• AWS (EMR, S3, Athena, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway)
• SQL
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• User requirements analysis
• Solution architecture design
• Experience within the FMCG, retail sector or similar (Beneficial)
