Requirements:

B.Tech (Elec) or BSc (Eng) Electrical.
Highly proficient level computer skills including Ms Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Microsoft Visio.
Familiar with battery electrical mobile systems.
Auto electrical experience an advantage.
Experience in the design of trackless mining equipment advantageous.
Must be able to work within a team.
Experience with SAE J1939, CANOpen and other CAN protocols.
Exposure to Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Battery charging systems.
Underground work will be required thus the candidate must be prepared to visit and troubleshoot machines in the field, therefore, good health is required.

KPAs:

Interpret works instructions information to produce an electrical systems that performs the specified functions.
Design electrical systems for the entire range of products with inputs from the product lead engineer.
Design and specify battery electrical drivetrains for mining vehicles.
Create electrical schematics for both DC automotive and low voltage AC (max 1000V) systems.
Design and configure embedded controller software as required to perform the required functions.
Ensure that the relevant electrical standards are adhered to during the design systems.
Produce the electrical bill of material (BOM) for each machine.
Performance of all engineering calculations for the electrical systems
