Lead Mechanical Engineer

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
Take end-to-end ownership of mechanical design and development for critical systems
Engineer and integrate complex components, including robotics, structural elements, and high-load motion assemblies
Lead technical decision-making from concept through to commissioning
Develop test plans, oversee prototyping, and participate hands-on in validation and site deployment
Ensure systems meet rigorous safety, performance, and industry compliance standards
Mentor and guide a high-performing team of engineers, helping shape a culture of innovation and excellence

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in mechanical design within mining, heavy machinery, or large-scale infrastructure environments
Proven track record working with large, complex mechanical systems and assemblies
Solid understanding of robotics, industrial automation, and large-scale manufacturing processes
Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or ANSYS
Strong leadership, project management, and cross-disciplinary communication skills

Qualification:
BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Master’s degree preferred
