SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base and proven experience within the Mining, Oil & Gas, Mineral Processing, or Heavy Engineering sectors. This role requires a professional who thrives on delivering solutions that are on specification, within budget, and on time (OSBIT), while upholding the highest engineering and safety standards.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the mechanical engineering design and execution of projects from concept through to completion.
Ensure all engineering deliverables meet customer requirements and project OSBIT objectives.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineering teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and problem-solving to support project delivery.
Maintain compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and company procedures.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer within the Mining, Oil & Gas, Mineral Processing, or Heavy Engineering sectors.
Demonstrated leadership and project execution skills.
Strong customer focus and ability to deliver on OSBIT principles.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Professional registration or eligibility to register will be advantageous.
