Lead Miner: Saudi Arabia, Al Amar

SUMMARY:
A well -established organization in the mining industry is urgently looking to appoint a Lead Miner in their Company in Saudi Arabia, Al Amar.

POSITION INFO:

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the operation in a high paced production environment. Perform duties assigned to him in the following regard, drilling operations, blasting operations, mucking operations, support operations and installation of mining services within the mine in a safe manner. This includes the operation of electric or hydraulic drilling equipment and diesel-powered jumbo’s, scoop trams, dump trucks etc.

Desired Experience and qualifications:

• Completion of intermediate (9 Years) education
• Must have a minimum of 5 years underground mining experience in a trackless environment.
• Must have safety background.
• Proficiency in English is Essential

Technical Competencies / Professional Expertise

• Driver’s License
• Certification for grader (Cat Alstrom) will be an added advantage.
• Be able to operate or be certified in underground dump truck operation (Cat AD30)
• Be able to operate or be certified in underground loader operation (St 1030 scoop tram, Cat R1600H)
• Be able to operate or be certified in underground utility vehicle (Normet 6305X) operation.
• Be able to operate or be certified in underground Jumbo operation.
• Be able to operate or be certified in underground Epiroc Boltec operation
• Be able to operate or be certified in underground Epiroc (S7D) Long Hole Drill Rig
• Time management skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Client Health and Safety responsibilities
• Identify hazards and risks while performing daily tasks and maintaining the daily production plan.
• Do FLRA’s and verification of FLRA’s of employees under his charge.
• Comply with legislative and operational requirements.
• Adhere to the company’s environmental management program.
• Operate underground mining equipment such as Jumbo’s, Scoop trams, dump trucks, long hole drill rigs etc. This includes operating with pedals and steering wheel to correctly position equipment and levers to raise, lower scoops etc.
• Inspect working area and declare safe such workings after regular blasting has taken place. Identify and report misfires to the shift boss.
• Monitors the operation of equipment and ensures the safety of other workers in his area.
• Advise the shift boss and maintenance department of equipment maintenance requirements for review and required action.
• Ensure adherence to production quality standards in housekeeping, reporting, safety, outputs and environmental conditions.
• Participate in cost saving initiatives and adhere to financial procedures.
• Customers and stakeholders:
• Communicate with supervisors as to the status ow work and the safety thereof.
• Communicate to the maintenance department of any breakdowns or maintenance issues on the equipment he is operating
