Learning and Development Practitioner (Human Resources)

Market-related Salary 

Swellendam, Western Cape

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and implement all training and development solutions and interventions to meet the strategic, operational and talent needs of the business throughout the learning and development life cycle and following legislative requirements.


Responsibilities:
• Statutory Compliance, BBBEE Strategy, Training Administration and Budget and Expenses
o Ensure the timely creation and submission of the WSP and ATR.
o Application and Management of Skills Grants from the FoodBev SETA.
o Ensure ongoing Statutory Compliance with relevant legislation.
o Compile and update the Annual Training Schedule.
o Compile and maintain Competency Matrix.
o Complete authorization for internal and external training.
o Update training records and proof of training on BizMerlin.
o Ensure ongoing relationships with the various statutory bodies.
o Check, analyze and explain variances to budget every month.
o Prepare and administer Internal and External Audits for BEE Verification.
o Align the EE Plan and EE Report with Training and Development.
o Complete and monitor the progress of the EE Plan and EE Report.
o Act as a Custodian of Skills Development in the BBBEE Scorecard.
o Budget Management.
o Administer Company donations.
o Manage the process around Bursaries.
o Manage all Employee Study Assistance.
• Implementation and Maintenance of Learning and Development Interventions
o Manage the process regarding monthly Team Talks.
o Analyze the content of Personal Development Plans and execute all learning mandatory interventions.
o Upon completion of annual reviews, plan and execute learning and development interventions.
o Ensure that relevant knowledge, skills and competencies are mapped for each role.
o Source and procure appropriate providers or identify internal facilitators.
o Manage relevant interventions from an administrative perspective.
o Source relevant solutions or recommendations for needs identified.
o Assist with the Performance Management rollout process.
o Support Manager on challenges arising from development.
o Provide consultation or advise the business on Learning and Development needs.
o Responsible for company Induction and the entire Onboarding Process.


REQUIREMENTS
• A relevant degree or diploma in Human Resources or Learning and Development is essential
• Knowledge of Skills Development, Employment Equity, BBBEE and associated legislation is essential
• Knowledge of Curriculum and Learning Programme Design would be an advantage
• Training facilitation and experience are essential for this role
• 3 to 5 years of working experience within a Learning and Development or Skills Development role
• Experience within a Manufacturing or Production environment would be an advantage
• Experience in dealing with the various SETAs is a requirement
