SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Lecturer/ Clinical Instructor

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics or equivalent
• Persons applying for the position with a B Tech: Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics will be considered for the position of Clinical Instructor should no applicant with Master’s Degree apply.
• A minimum of 3 years work experience as an Orthotist or Prosthetist.
• HPCSA registration in Orthotics and Prosthetics

Additional Recommendation:
• Competence in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics Education
• 1 year verifiable in teaching at a tertiary institution
• Evidence of involvement in research for Clinical Instructor applicants

Summary of Duties:
• Teaching and Assessment of modules/subjects in the Orthotics and Prosthetics Program.
• Research participation
• Preparation and development of learning/teaching materials and practicals
• Involvement in curriculum development
• Provision of academic support to facilitate student success
• Develop the Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics Program
• Participate in Faculty and University wide activities and functions
• Any other duty assigned by the acting HOD or Executive Dean
