SUMMARY:

The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint suitable qualified and experienced candidates for vacant posts in Economics Department - Faculty of Management and Commerce.

POSITION INFO:

 

            Minimum Requirements: 

• A master’s degree in Economics, a doctoral degree in Economics will be an added advantage
• At least three years’ experience in a higher education environment or a minimum of one year in the higher education environment plus relevant industry experience
• Proven experience in teaching Economics courses
• A research record supported by publications in DHET accredited Journals

            Responsibilities include:

• Teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students

• Ability to conduct online teaching and assessments.

• Participate in curriculum design and implementation of newly accredited programmes.
• Attract funding and conduct research in the field of economics
• Supervise postgraduate research
• Participate in public engagement activities within the department
• Academic administration and citizenship
