Lecturer - Emergency Care & Critical Care

SUMMARY:
A vacancy for a trained Emergency Care Practitioner is available at a healthcare faculty in Kwazulu Natal. Applicants must have previous operational experience as an Emergency Care Practitioner and Facilitator/Instructor.

POSITION INFO:
Inherent job requirements:
Willing and able to work flexi and long hours including travelling to present programs outside of the region when required. 
 
Key areas of responsibility:
·         Teaching & facilitation of all the learning programs at the faculty
·         Preparation & presentation of theory and practical sessions to the students
·         Facilitate clinical learning in hospital and pre-hospital environments
·          Assist with student mentorship and tutorials
·         Actively engage in CPD, quality assurance, research and peer review
·         Assist with the marketing of the faculty
·         All administration related to the position
Education and experience:
BTech: Emergency Medical Care (BEMC)
Registered with the HPCSA as an Emergency Care Practitioner  
Post graduate teaching qualification will be advantage
ACLS and PALS instructor certification will be advantage
BLS Instructor will be advantage
Minimum of 2 yrs experience as Emergency Care Practitioner
Previous experience at a training facility would be advantage
Good understanding and working of the HPCSA is required
Computer proficient (MS Office suite) is required
Good communication skills
