SUMMARY:
The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint suitable qualified and experienced candidates for vacant post in English Department - Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements:

• Possession of a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics / English Language; a PhD in Applied Linguistics / English Language will be an added advantage;
• Basic theoretical knowledge of the field (Honours Degree in Linguistics / English Language).
• 3 years university teaching experience with proven research output.

Responsibilities Include:

• Teach, conduct research and supervise postgraduate students’ projects
• Refine the curriculum at undergraduate and postgraduate level
• Ability to conduct online teaching and assessments
• Produce academic publications, especially accredited ones
• Participate in collaborative research projects locally and internationally
• Participate in academic administrative functions for the smooth running of the department / faculty
• Participate in community initiatives in line with University policies
• Other work related responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department / Faculty
