POSITION INFO:
Education and experience:
BTech: Emergency Care Practitioner
Registered with the HPCSA as an (EMC or BEMC)
Post graduate teaching qualification (advantage)
ACLS and PALS instructor certification preferred
BLS Instructor (advantage)
Minimum of 2 yrs operational experience as Emergency Care Practitioner
Previous experience at a training facility (advantage)
Willing and able to work outside of the region as/when required.
Good understanding and working of the HPCSA is required
Computer proficient (MS Office suite) is required
Good communication skills
Key areas of responsibility:
- Teaching & facilitation of all the learning programs at the faculty, CHE, HPCSA, AHA and DoL programmes
- Preparation & presentation of theory and practical sessions to the students
- Facilitate clinical learning in hospital and pre-hospital environments
- Assist with student mentorship and tutorials
- Actively engage in CPD, quality assurance, research and peer review
- Assist with the marketing of the faculty
- All administration related to the position
