The University of Fort Hare is seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced candidates for the post Lecturer in the Department of Pure & Applied Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Agriculture.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

A PhD degree in Pure Mathematics
Teaching experience at tertiary level.
Research experience supported by a publication record in DHET accredited journals.

Added Advantage:

Evidence of attracting research funding.
Supervision of post-graduate students.
NRF rating

Duties:

Teach undergraduate courses in Mathematics and any other courses assigned to you by the Head of Department.
Participate in regular recurriculation of modules or programme reviews.
Develop research within the areas of Group Theory and Fuzzy Group Theory .
Attract research funding.
Supervise BSc Honours, MSc and PhD students.
Participate in community engagement.
Any other responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department.
The successful candidate will be required to register for a PGDHE.
