JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:

Master’s degree in Social Work
Registration with South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)
3 years teaching experience in a higher education environment

Added advantage

PhD or registration towards PhD
2 years’ experience in the professional field

Responsibilities Include:

Teach and supervise across broad areas of social work at undergraduate level
Develop and innovate teaching methods and curricula
Participate in appropriate community engagement projects identified by the department, faculty and University
Produce scholarly publications in the field of social work
Participate and contribute to departmental, faculty and University administrative and committee responsibilities
