Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the above-mentioned permanent post in the Faculty of Education

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

MA (Mathematics Education)/ MEd in Mathematics Education
A professional teaching qualification
A minimum of five years teaching at primary school level
Research and publication in Mathematics Education.
Bilingual isiXhosa-English will be an added advantage

DUTIES:

To teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in the area of Mathematics Education, and any Education Studies Modules
Supervising postgraduate students
Carry out research for publication
To engage in community outreach and collaborative activities.
To build capacity by mentoring student teachers and teachers in service
To participate in training and assessing student teachers for and during school-based training
