SUMMARY:
An exciting position in a high powered construction company is looking for an individual with horse power to meet the need.

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day office legal matters.
  • Develop and optimise processes and procedures across all departments as part of supervisory responsibility in line with operational requirements.
  • Working with finance to manage the end-to-end procurement process including preparing requests for proposals, shortlisting service providers, negotiating prices etc.
  • Maintains relationships with service providers and manages adherence to services level agreements.
  • Analyses and reviews joint venture structures.
  • Develops, analyses, and implements the legal framework for the organisation in relation to partnership agreements.
  • Manages and oversee organisational wide record keeping and storage of agreements, contracts, and other critical documentation.
  • Ensure storage is safe.
  • Maintains relationships with service providers and manages adherence to services level agreements.
  • Analyses and reviews joint venture structures.
  • Develops, analyses, and implements the legal framework for the organisation in relation to partnership agreements.
  • Updates shared drive index and ensure documentation is valid and easily accessible.
  • Meets with individuals involved in legal processes to provide information and clarify issues. Prepare documentation of legal proceedings.
  • Prepares and liaises with external service providers on matters relating to litigation. Analyse and review drafts.
  • Provides organisation wide legal counsel.
  • Assists in coordinating and implementing disciplinary procedures and actions.
  • Is responsible for the efficient administration of the company, particularly with regard to ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and for ensuring that decisions of the board of directors are implemented.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in legal environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree – Law or related qualification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Computer Skills- proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently when preparing legal documents.
  • Punctual and presentable
  • Must be able to work under pressure and adapt to a multifunctioning work environment
