POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a Legal Officer to support the Legal Manager with legal administration, research, documentation, debt collection, reporting and contract-related matters. The successful candidate will provide legal support to property managers and other stakeholders while helping identify and manage potential legal risks. Key Responsibilities Track and manage pre-legal, legal and post-legal matters and deadlines. Manage pre-legal and outstanding debt collections. Liaise with organisations and individuals regarding legal queries. Prepare and issue letters of demand and disconnection letters. Collate, review and maintain legal documents, agreements and records. Assist with legal reports, debt collection reports and pre-legal reports. Provide legal support and identify potential legal risks. Assist with drafting and reviewing property-related contracts, including lease agreements and SLAs. Assist with legal meetings, administration and stakeholder coordination. Minimum Requirements Matric LLB or relevant Legal Degree Admitted Attorney At least 2 years' relevant experience Knowledge of property law, lease law and debt collection legislation Strong legal research and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, MDA and related applications Key Skills & Competencies Integrity and ethical conduct Attention to detail Analytical and critical thinking Strong verbal and written communication Professional judgement and confidentiality Problem-solving and stakeholder management Time management and organisation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Accountability, ownership and teamwork
