A financial services organization that is a household reputable name in South Africa, is looking for a Linux Specialist to join their premium organization.

POSITION INFO:

Description:

This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and partners.

Education:

Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
Technikon diploma or Bachelors (3-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science
Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Linux and VMware and RHEV
VMware certificate

Experience:

4 to 6 years’ system administration experience
Installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and partners.
SAN/NAS experience
3Par and P2000 experience, HP MSA and Huawei, Setup of LUNS, Storage pools and assigning storage to hosts
Nagios/Icinga experience
RHCSA/RHCE
Hardware(racking and stacking), cabling, Data centre knowledge/experience

Setup of Fibre switches(Brocades)
