SUMMARY:
A financial services organization that is a household reputable name in South Africa, is looking for a Linux Specialist to join their premium organization.

POSITION INFO:

Description:

This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and partners. 

Education:

• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
• Technikon diploma or Bachelors (3-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science
• Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Linux and VMware and RHEV
• VMware certificate

Experience:

• 4 to 6 years’ system administration experience
• Installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
• Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
• Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and partners.
• SAN/NAS experience
• 3Par and P2000 experience, HP MSA and Huawei, Setup of LUNS, Storage pools and assigning storage to hosts
• Nagios/Icinga experience
• RHCSA/RHCE
• Hardware(racking and stacking), cabling, Data centre knowledge/experience

• Setup of Fibre switches(Brocades)
