POSITION INFO:

A well-established law firm based in Johannesburg is looking to employ an experienced Litigation Associate / Senior Associate to join their organisation. The candidate will be working as an associate / senior associate in a team with a specialty in the field of Health Care and Life Sciences.

Requirements

Regulatory work in the healthcare and life sciences industry including knowledge of the Consumer Protection Act, Protection of Personal Information Act, foodstuffs legislation, Medicines & related Substances Act and regulations under that Act, the Health Professions Act and related legislation, including medical profession ethical rules and guidelines, the National Health Act
Matters before various tribunals and regulatory authorities including the Health Professions Council of South Africa and the Council for Medical Schemes
Very strong on written work and opinion writing
Very strong on administrative and constitutional law
Very strong commercial litigation experience
Demonstrate expert administrative and project management skills

Academic, technical and working experience requirements:

Must be an admitted attorney
At least 3 - 5 years post-articles experience in regulatory matters and associated litigation
Excellent computer skills
