SUMMARY:
Locum Doctors required for Cosmo City

POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for Locum Doctors (Medical Officer) for a Long term sessional work, duration about 12 months.

 Minimum Requirements

• Basic medical degree (MBCHB or equivalent), with at least 3 years relevant experience. 
• Post-graduate Diploma in Occupational Health or Family Medicine or relevant medical degree is added advantage
• Medical malpractice indemnity cover

Recommendations

• An appropriate qualification that allows registration with Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a medical officer 
• Minimum of 3 years experience in general medical practice; 
• Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) and the use of current protocols
• Excellent clinical skills in terms of consultation; history-taking; examination; clinical assessment and management procedures. Good professional attitude; communication skills; ethics in relation to patients/families/communities; referrals; consent for treatment and records keeping
• Basic Emergency Medicine skills (ACLS, ATLS, or APLS is an advantage)
• Knowledge in ICD-10 coding
• Basic skills in surgical procedures
• Surgical, gynecological, and obstetric ultrasound skills
