Our client in Kirkwood is looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic team.

Qualification:

Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel training).
Minimum 3 years working in transport and shipping environment.
Knowledge of the Citrus industry will be an advantage.
Experience in the logistics environment will be an advantage.
QX experience will be an advantage.
Matric/Grade 12/Equivalent qualification (NQF3).
Computer Literacy (working knowledge of Ms Excel, Word and Outlook).
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong office administration experience.
Reliable transport.

Main areas of responsibility will include:

Facilitating bookings and monitoring the logistics chain from empty depot to harbour.

Key performance areas

Creating Bookings with various lines.
Transport planning and scheduling.
Communication i.e actively engage with the shipping lines, haulers, account managers and packhouses.
Reports i.e. hauler tracking reports, bookings vs SI’s.
SI’s (Shipping Instructions) and Q67’s are completed and diligently checked and verified.
