SUMMARY:
FMCG Logistics Manager
5 Years Management Experience
Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management essential
Experience in the FMCG industry in cold chain management

POSITION INFO:
- Leading, structuring and development of the Logistics Team (12 employees)
- Establishing and implementing Stock Control Systems for the warehouse (cold storage as well as ambient products)
- Apply FIFO principles
- Record, check and store finished goods
- Record and check inventory sent to third party distributors as well as to direct customers
- Build relationships with third-party distributors and direct customers
- Checking picking slips and ensuring that stock is available to invoice before the invoice is processed, liaise with Demand Planning and Invoicing Departments
- Responsible to implement systems for the picking of stock and loading of trucks
- Book delivery slots with third-party distributors and direct customers
- Manage Chep pallet account and Chep pallet transfers
- Daily stock balances to be agreed upon with Procurement Manager
- Monthly/daily stock take
- Oversee cycle counting as well as monthly and financial year-end stock takes
- Variance analysis and investigation, implement controls to curb stock damages and shortages
- Supervision of loading of trucks and ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately
- Follow procedures on stock rotation and manage the preparation of orders after hours
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiencies
- Fleet maintenance and management, including forklifts
- Implement & review Service Level Agreements
- Special projects and additional duties as assigned
- Forklift experience will be beneficial
- Managing off-site storage warehouses
