SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee our logistics operations and ensure that our products are transported and delivered efficiently and cost-effectively. As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company’s transportation, distribution, and inventory management systems, as well as leading a team of logistics professionals.

Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize transportation, distribution, and inventory management processes
Manage the company’s transportation network, including negotiating contracts with carriers and managing freight rates and schedules
Oversee the distribution network, including managing warehouses, inventory levels, and customer service levels
Ensure that all logistics activities comply with regulatory and company standards
Identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Lead a team of logistics professionals, including hiring, training, and managing staff, as well as providing direction and guidance
Develop and manage logistics budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans
Ensure that the company’s logistics operations are reliable and available to support business operations 24/7
Manage relationships with external logistics vendors, service providers, and consultants

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics management roles, preferably in the mining or natural resources industry
Strong knowledge of transportation, distribution, and inventory management systems, as well as logistics regulations and compliance standards
Experience managing logistics teams and budgets
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Strong leadership and project management skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to travel as needed
