Logistics Superintendent

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Mining Industry, has an opportunity available for a Logistics Superintendent, to be based in the Steelpoort, Limpopo area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Relevant Degree or Technikon Diploma
• 6 years’ relevant experience, preferably 2 years’ managerial experience
• Experience in logistics and mineral processing would be advantageous
• Smelter experience

KPAs:

• Manage the Raw Materials, Final Product Systems and Operations
• Develop and maintain relationships with Marketing, Port Authorities, Spoornet and Road Transport Contractors and all other role players
• Develop and maintain relationships with raw material suppliers
• Develop the Raw Material Supply Strategy, including the transport plan
• Oversee that Raw Material Orders, based on stock levels and consumptions, are being placed
• Liaise between the Smelters, Pelletizer, Mines, Internal and External customers and suppliers
• Manage the Raw Material handling operations and raw material stocks
• Manage Reconciliation of Raw Material tonnages with Suppliers and Transporters
• Manage the Final Product Stocks (High Carbon), quality, crushing
• Manage the dispatch and transport of Final Products
