Logistics Superintendent (Exports)

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Mining Industry, based in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg, has an EE opportunity available for a Logistics Superintendent (Exports).

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Degree or National Diploma preferably in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• 6 years’ relevant experience in the mining and smelting environment, preferably 2 years’ managerial experience
• Know and understand the basics of marine insurance
• Demonstrate the basic legal principles applied to shipping
• Demonstrate an understanding of the basics of local and international trade
• Demonstrate an understanding of the basics Maritime Geography

KPAs:

• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers
• Assist in developing and managing the Marketing Logistics strategy including Domestic rail
• Manage the usage of Port, Road, Rail and Storage facilities
• Implement and manage Service Level Agreements
• Manage the Total Quality Control system
• Reporting
