Logistics and Supply Chain Officer

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics Specialist to manage end-to-end sourcing, procurement, stock management, and shipping operations while supporting our financial and ERP systems.

POSITION INFO:
This role ensures cost-effective procurement, efficient inventory control, seamless logistics, and smooth business operations across the supply chain, both domestically and internationally.

Required:

• Develop, implement, and maintain domestic and international shipping processes, both internally and externally.
• Manage the full shipping lifecycle, including packaging, labelling, packing lists, customs documentation, insurance, courier coordination, and shipment tracking.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure timely delivery and resolve shipping issues.
• Monitor shipments to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Source cost-effective shipping options and continuously review and optimize shipping costs.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, stock management, or logistics.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
• Understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations, customs documentation, and import/export practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and Xero) is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, process-oriented approach with experience developing and implementing SOPs.
• Knowledge of cost optimization, supplier evaluation, and compliance with regulatory and ethical sourcing practices
• Procurement & Supply Chain:
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure reliability, compliance, and performance.
  • Source materials, equipment, and services required for production and operational needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve best value.
• Manage Stock and Inventory:
  • Monitor stock levels, perform regular stock counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Forecast demand and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Maintain accurate records of goods received, goods issued, and stock movements.
  • Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and reporting for management.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, finance, and other teams to align procurement and stock management with project and production requirements.
  • Assist with migrating procurement, inventory, and shipping processes to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Create and maintain part numbers, item codes, supplier records, and shipping data in the ERP system.
  • Develop digital workflows for procurement, stock receipt, shipping, and inventory management.
  • Train staff on ERP procedures and ensure compliance with system workflows.
