Seeking 2 skilled Long Hole Rig Operators to operate and maintain our HPS H80 LHR equipment at mine sites.
Locations: Rustenburg (x1) & Carletonville (x1)
Conditions: Underground mining environment (shift work)
Safety: Strict adherence to PPE and protocols
Requirements:
- Matric Certificate (or equivalent)
- Valid Blasting Certificate
- Drill Rig Operator Certification
- 3+ years as a Long Hole Rig Operator
- Experience with HPS equipment (advantageous)
- Medically fit for underground work
- Clear criminal record
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-use inspections using checklists
- Operate HPS H80 LHR to drill holes according to design specifications
- Monitor for gas hazards, ground conditions, and ventilation
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and component replacements
- Perform scheduled maintenance on rigs and related equipment
- Complete shift reports and operational records
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Provide on-the-job training to new operators
- Assist with other tasks as required by supervisors
