Our client, a reputable and established Recycling and Waste Management concern is seeking an experience and enthusiastic marketer with a track record that proves your ability to reach and impact both industry and consumer.

The role requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail who’s able to function well within a dynamic team.

You will manage and implement the Company’s marketing and communication strategy across all brands.

The role will report in to the Head of Brand & Marketing.

Detailed Role Description (job functions include but are not limited to):

 

Marketing

  • Working with the Stakeholder Manager and the Head of Brand & Marketing, develop the Company’s marketing strategy and annual calendar across their brands
  • Manage and ensure the effective execution of the Companies marketing strategy and annual calendar
  • Work closely with the Stakeholder Manager in managing communications to, and collaboration with Member Organisations and other stakeholders
  • Develop and manage consumer-facing campaigns and activations
  • Provide marketing support to the Special Projects & Education team, which includes developing marketing and educational content
  • Manage the design, compilation, production and dissemination of internal and external marketing and educational content, collateral and communications
  • Oversee the digital marketing and social media function and manage the Marketing Co-Ordinator in delivering against objectives
  • Manage the compilation and delivery of Polyco publications, with input from the executive team, including the Annual Review
  • Ensure the Company’s brand identity is always maintained across all marketing and PR material
  • Ensure that logos and brand usage by collaboration partners and other stakeholders is correct and aligned with the Company’s brand guidelines

PR & Advertising

  • Working with the Stakeholder Manager and the Head of Brand & Marketing, develop the annual PR plan
  • Manage and maintain the relationship with  PR agency
  • Ensure that regular, high quality and newsworthy press releases are compiled and distributed
  • Compile monthly reports on PR campaign results and the return on investment
  • Manage advertising opportunities and report on effectiveness

Events

  • Plan and execute all consumer-facing webinars, workshops, exhibitions, activations, launches and events
  • Assist the Stakeholder Manager with industry-facing events where needed

Administration

  • Monthly reporting against marketing objectives and annual calendar
  • Manage  external marketing agencies, website consultants, designers and freelancers and ensure all relevant service providers deliver in terms of their agreements
  • Manage and support Marketing Co-Ordinator
  • Budgeting and financial management: Develop, manage and monitor the marketing budgets
  • Prepare updates, reports and presentations when requested

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Marketing, Communications and PR or Brand Management or the equivalent experience
  • 7-10 Years relevant business marketing experience gained, with a minimum of 3 of those years in a management position
  • Experience gained in managing of market budgets
  • Proven passion and / or experience gained within sustainability / recycling / waste management / plastic manufacturing or related will be necessary
  • Willing to travel

Competencies Required:

 

  • Understands the full marketing mix and comfortable designing and implementing a full marketing strategy
  • Ability to convert strategic thinking and oversight to clear operational plans and activities
  • Efficient and disciplined in planning, scheduling, organising and time and task management – strong project management skills
  • Experience managing marketing agencies and marketing campaigns
  • Extreme attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in executing work
  • Financial acumen related to managing budgets
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building and management skills
  • Excellent presentation skills and comfortable presenting and public speaking
