Job Description

 

This  Financial Manager position for a Property Development company reports to the Directors and is a challenging role with lots of scope & opportunity to show your abilities & make a difference.

You will head up the Finance Team

Your Responsibilities:

• Management of the financial accounting team
• Manage and monitor Group accounting procedures, policies, and internal controls.
• Monthly maintenance of the Groups General Ledger and the month-end process
• Ensuring accurate and timeous financial reporting and submissions for the Group – Internal & External
• Presentation of Management Reports to Board
• Ensure timeous completion and submission of the provisional tax returns, the annual tax return, and the monthly VAT returns for the Group.
• Manage Group cashflows (forecasts and payments)
• Ad hoc requests from Other departments within the Group
• Control over inter company and related party transactions within the Group.

 

Qualifications

 

• BCom Honours in Finance (non -negotiable)

 

Skills

You will have at least 5 years'''' post-article experience within the Property or Construction sector and have:

• Financial, analytical, and reporting skills (IFRS & IAS knowledge)
• Good knowledge of the property and Construction environment
• Good knowledge of: o     Xero accounting and/or other accounting systems o    Sage Payroll and/or other payroll systems o    Procurement systems (PR-PO-GRN-INV matching) o    Project Management systems
• SOLID understanding of financial controls and importance of data integrity
